When TV presenter, podcast host and mum-of-one Charlotte Hawkins asked Travel Seen for a peaceful, relaxing family break, there was the perfect serene resort the team knew would be what Charlotte and her family were dreaming of.

The Chedi, Oman
As Seen By… Charlotte Hawkins

Charlotte and her family hadn’t been on a sun holiday for over two and a half years, they wanted a secluded escape to make special memories and to spend quality time together. So with this in mind, the Travel Seen team knew that the perfect luxurious escape would be at The Chedi in Oman.

The Chedi is a stylish, contemporary, and sophisticated resort with calming interiors and tranquil gardens, ensuring all guests instantly turn into ‘holiday mode’ upon arrival. Charlotte said she was “so grateful to have been able to go as it was last minute”, thanking both Travel Seen and The Chedi hotel.

As travel is finally getting easier, Charlotte and her family loved spending this special family time together “playing card games, searching for hermit crabs and shells on the beach”. Charlotte adored The Chedi as it has “such welcoming people, beautiful scenery and amazing food”. Charlotte’s seven year daughter Ella-Rose made a firm friend in Silar at The Chedi who even taught her some Arabic! Her “little mermaid" Ella Rose spent "8 hours a day" in the pool and had a "whale of a time" on this fabulous family getaway.

Charlotte’s holiday highlights:
  • Being serenaded at an Opera Brunch
  • Visiting the Grand Mosque and learning a lot about the culture. The real authenticity about Oman.
  • Taking part in Yoga by the beach under the palm trees, absolute bliss.
  • Discovered a love for a Lychee Martini.

The Details:

Charlotte and family travelled to the Middle Eastern resort in February, flying into Muscat, and transferring to the hotel in a luxury limousine. Travel Seen chose the luxurious Chedi Club Suite, with exclusive access to The Club Lounge for Charlotte and her family, the perfect haven, for their first break in over two and a half years.
