Fashion Blogger Sarah Boyce shares an equal passion for fashion and travel which are her two greatest loves after her family!  Having worked in the marketing sector for luxury hotels for over 20 years, Sarah decided to follow her heart and to start sharing her fashion and style tips on Instagram over three years ago.  Her blog has gone from strength to strength, she loves sharing her fashion, beauty and travel tips with her likeminded followers.  But when mum-of-two asked Travel Seen for help in choosing the perfect City break for her family of teen boys, our team knew it had to be La Dolce Vita in Roma!

Rome Cavalieri
As Seen by... Sarah Boyce

For the past few years, Sarah and her family have made it an annual tradition to visit a different European city every year during the October half term.  When Sarah asked Travel Seen to come up with the perfect location for their 2021 cultural capital, we quickly realised that Rome was the perfect place for all the family.  This beautiful city, home to so many iconic designers, ticked every fashionista’s box for Sarah.

“The Athenian Riviera was fabulous last year, so Travel Seen had a lot to live up to - but they chose the perfect city and hotel for us!” says Sarah. “Travel Seen listened to exactly what we wanted - asked me lots of questions - and found the perfect venue.”

With the Rome Cavalieri only being 7km from the city, this hotel “was the perfect haven from the hustle and bustle of downtown Rome” says Sarah.

“We tended to sightsee in the morning, followed by a delicious lunch before heading back to the Rome Cavalieri late afternoon for a relaxing swim, rejuvenating spa treatment or a glass of Prosecco in the beautiful Imperial Lounge with spectacular views over the city.”

“The concierge at the Rome Cavalieri was absolutely superb and helped us plan our wonderful five day trip so we really got the most out of our stay. Did I mention they even have little stools for your handbag at breakfast?!  Living my best life!  The level of luxury is sublime.”

So after such a fun filled trip to Rome, where are Sarah and her family off to next?

“I’m keen on Lisbon, my husband is thinking Berlin but the boys have got New York firmly in their sights!  I can’t say I blame them and, again, I can’t wait to see what Travel Seen come up with”

Sarah’s experience

Sarah and her family flew with BA at the end of October to Rome.

They stayed at the Rome Cavalieri, Waldorf Astoria Hotel, in two Imperial Club rooms giving them additional space and extras as standard, such as private check-in and Imperial Club Lounge access.

The Rome Cavalieri organised a half day tour to Ancient Rome and The Colosseum, a half day tour of the Vatican City and St. Peter’s Basilica and a walking tour of central Rome taking in the Trevi Fountain, the Spanish Steps and many other iconic sights of Rome.

Dining Highlights included the world famous "Heinz Beck La Pergola" three Michelin starred restaurant situated in the Rome Cavalieri Hotel and the wonderful “Al Moro” restaurant which serves sublime pasta close to the Trevi Fountain, a favourite of Valentino's.
