What we love: Swimming to your room from the pool

Other luxuries include the swim-up bar and the poolside service, where staff offer canapés, chilled grapes and sorbets with cool flannels and complimentary sunscreen. 

Barbados is known for being rich in wildlife and in the outdoor grounds of the hotel, you’ll find a koi pond filled with dozens of tropical fish. At check-in, kids get a bag of fish food to feed the fish. 

For families, the hotel organises day trips, such as a visit to the Barbados Wildlife Reserve, during the school holidays too.
