5 Luxury Experiences: Dubai

1. Drive

One of the first visions that come to mind when thinking of Dubai is those images of flash cars pulling up at the entrance to the world’s finest hotels.

So if you want to live like a celeb for the day, then a Dubai driving experience is the way to go.

Last year we sent Dr Alex to the city to give us his take on Dubai. And as it was his birthday while visiting we arranged a driving experience to the Jebel Jais mountains.

Driving in his super-fast McLaren to a viewing point 2,000m above sea level was real “once in a lifetime stuff”. In Dr Alex’s own words:  “I felt so incredibly privileged and grateful to have lived this experience.

2. Dine

In June the Michelin Guide Dubai was revealed, listing the very best places for gastronomy in the city.

Two restaurants were given two of the coveted Michelin stars, nine were given one, and one was awarded the new Michelin Green Star.

With so many leading eateries in one place there are plenty of options for Michelin-star dining in the Dubai.

And for two under one roof there’s the Michelin-star awarded restaurants at Atlantis, The Palm; Hakkasan Dubai and Ossiano.

The latter is the place to go for seafood, with a tableside view of the resort’s vast Ambassador’s Lagoon aquarium. Meanwhile Hakkasan Dubai offers creative Chinese cuisine and one of the best cocktail menus we’ve ever seen.

3. Desert

Head into the desert for an experience like no other… but with added bells and whistles! Arabian Adventures has a selection of the most luxurious tours on the market, taking guests into the Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve for a 4-wheel dune drive, camel ride to a private camp, and dinner under the stars around a campfire. The perfect luxury Dubai experience for a proposal or romantic day for two, and with a real sense of place too.

4. Hotel

Next up on our top five Dubai luxury experiences is ‘the world’s only seven-star hotel’… the Burj Al Arab. While the credit card might not stretch to a stay here, visitors to Dubai can still get a taste of the luxury at this iconic city landmark.

5. Spa

A spa treatment is a wonderful way to get into holiday mode. For added luxury look no further than Jumeirah hotel’s ‘Your Spa Time for Two’.

Head into the stunning Talise Spa for three hours of indulgence together. Spend 30 minutes using the Jacuzzi, steam shower and sauna in the Spa Suite; then chill with an hour long traditional hammam; ending with a 90 minute massage of your choice.
